Calibre is designed with privacy as a default. The app collects no personal information, creates no account, and communicates with no external server.
Calibre stores watch records, measurement results, and short audio clips entirely on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it or enable iCloud sync (if available in a future version).
Calibre requests microphone access solely to capture the tick sound of mechanical watches during a measurement session. Audio is processed on-device in real time. Short clips (approximately 30 seconds) may be saved locally alongside measurement records for your own playback and diagnostic review. Clip retention is controlled by a setting in the app (Settings → Audio Clips); you can disable saving entirely or set clips to delete automatically after 7, 30, or 90 days, or one year. No audio is transmitted or uploaded.
Calibre requests camera access solely to photograph watches for your own library. Photos are stored on-device and are not uploaded or shared.
Calibre contains no analytics SDKs, no third-party tracking, no advertising, and no crash reporting services. No data about your usage is collected or transmitted.
In-app purchases are processed entirely by Apple. Calibre does not collect or store any payment information. Apple's handling of purchase data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
Calibre does not use any third-party services. No data is shared with any third party.
Calibre does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this address with a revised date. Continued use of the app after any change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
